The situation in Zimbabwe continues to unfold. President Jacob Zuma has appointed Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and State Security Minister Advocate Bongani Bongo as his special envoys to Zimbabwe. The president spoke to Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe early today who indicated that he was confined to his home but said he was fine.
